There are several options for prescription pink eye medication, which most people these days choose. A random one from the list is Tobradex. Let's take a look at the ingredients:
Tobramycin and dexamethasone ophthalmic suspension contains: Actives: tobramycin 0.3% (3 mg) and dexamethasone 0.1% (1 mg). Preservative: benzalkonium chloride 0.01%. Inactives: tyloxapol, edetate disodium, sodium chloride, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium sulfate, sulfuric acid and/or sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH) and purified water.
Take a look at the msds data on just a few of these chemicals:
What about "benzalkonium chloride" HERE
And tyloxapol? Look HERE
Or dexamethasone? Go HERE (& scroll down a ways...)
And then tobramycin? Right HERE (gets better as you scroll down - insert sarcasm)
Are you kidding me??? The FDA approves this stuff? Me personally - I say... No thank you.
Back to the story here...
I woke up during the middle of the night with all of the nasty symptoms mentioned above. I treated it naturally, & it was almost gone the first day. Awesome! :o)
So, how did I get rid of it so fast?
I simply applied 1 drop of colloidal silver (all natural & non toxic) to each eye early in the morning, mid afternoon, & evening. By bed time, it was mostly gone. I did the same thing the next day. GONE. I did apply it for one extra day just to be sure. The drops burn just a teeeny tiny bit right at first, but it doesn't last long, & it's not too bad.
Which brand of colloidal silver do I use? Most brands work, & I don't endorse any in particular, but the one I happen to have & love is Sovereign Silver - Bio Active Silver Hydrosol. It's awesome! It's available online, in health food stores, & often times in the natural foods/natural health section of grocery stores. I got mine at Fred Meyer (owned by Kroger). It gets rid of viral & bacterial infections both internally & externally. The stuff even kills MRSA & Staph!
Safe for kids, safe for pets, good for almost everything!
Another good product we've used for eye AND ear infections is Similasan. It's a homeopathic natural remedy & is even available at most Walgreens & other pharmacies. Works GREAT!!
And that is how I healed my very own not-so-beloved pink eye... Naturally :)
