Dressing. Or Dip.
Mix together wet ingredients: (in a pourable container like the one I used)
1 part mayonnaise - I only use homemade OR Vegenaise
1/2 part kefir - (for dressing) OR sour cream - (for dip)
*You can use buttermilk instead of kefir, but I prefer kefir.
Mix together dry herbs: (This makes enough for more than one batch, so store left over in a small glass jar)
1 part each:
chives, parsley, dill
1/2 part each:
garlic powder, onion powder
1/4 part each:
Himalayan or Real Salt, pepper - (I use a little less than 1/4 part for pepper)
You can divide or multiply this recipe, depending on how much you want to make. Whether you make a lot or a little, just make sure to keep the ratios the same.
Here is what I usually make:
MY DRY MIX:
(This amount ends up making a total of 9 Tbs. dry mix, which will make approx. 6 containers of dressing/dip)
2 T. each - chives, parsley, & dill
1 T. each - garlic powder, onion powder
1/2 T. each - Himalayan salt, pepper
1 1/2 T. dry mix
1 c. mayo
1/2 c. kefir / sour cream
Combine in container & shake well. Store in fridge.
*Often times, for dressing, I like more kefir & less mayo. So I just add 1/8-1/4 tsp. Guar gum to thicken it, if it's too runny. Guar gum is awesome for thickening almost anything, & it takes VERY little.
This stuff is good for dipping veges or crackers, on sandwiches, homemade pizza, salads, etc. YUM!!!
